"This was Lee Valley's first ever league game with their first league goal being scored by Martin Bergin, opening Lions' league account at 02:47. Highlight of this game was the Will Fish goal, beating the keeper from his own blue line. (Note: Grimsby's ice is only 120 feet long, ours is 184 feet!). Three Lions goals were scored while short-handed. Pennanen received the Man of the Match award for an outstanding league debut."
