Additional Comments: The match programme of 26/10/86 contained stats for this Norwich Union Autumn Cup game but no report on how the game actually went. All I can add is that Brian Cox faced just 18 shots from the Lions, whereas Vesa Pennanen had to face 55. We actually did at least lead at two points in the game, when we were 1-0 up and 2-1 up! The programme of 26/10/86 did congratulate Eddie Joseph and his wife on the birth of their baby. Eddie had missed his first ever game (this one) to be at the birth! Officials were Bullock, Bain and Batchelder. |
