Additional Comments: This was our final Autumn Trophy home game of the season, and what a one to end on! The whole match was very closely fought and at 55:13 it was 11-10 to us. The Bears then equalised with a shot from Luc Chabot at 58:22 - perilously close to the 60:00 buzzer. This was a Power Play goal, thanks to Chris Leggat, who'd been given 2-mins for High Sticks plus 2+2 for Unnecessary Roughness at 53:22. However, Chris came out of the box at 59:22 and with only 10 seconds left on the clock he scored our winning goal (59:50). To say we had forgiven him and were now ecstatic was an understatement! There were a couple of other major penalties during the game - Chris Leggatt had already received a 10-mins Misconduct penalty at 31:54 and Chris Gruber had received 2+10 for Spearing at 41:34. Referee was Jenkins, Linesmen were Wheeler and Porter. |
