Lee Valley Lions are pleased to announce the first batch of signings for the 2022/23 season, with some new names joining some already familiar faces. Keep an eye on our Roster page as we’ll be updating it when additional players come on board.
Summer open practise sessions
Lee Valley Lions’ open practice sessions for this summer will get started on Friday 10 June 2022, from 8.30pm to 10pm at the Sobell Leisure Centre ice rink in Islington. The sessions will run regularly through June, July and part of August and will cost £10 per session, payable on the night.

Don’t miss the Lions’ last home game of the season
The Lions face Cardiff Fire for their last home game of the 2021/22 season on Sunday 20 March, face-off 4.15pm. Tickets need to be bought in advance as they are not available to purchase at the rink. Get yours via Eventbrite.
RIP Bob Mitura
We are saddened to hear that former Lee Valley Czech netminder, Bob Mitura, passed away on 10 January, having lost his battle against prostate cancer. Bob played for the Lions in the late 80s alongside the likes of fellow Czech Jaroslav Lycka and the legendary Doug McEwen. The club sends its condolences to Bob’s friends and family for their loss.
