Watch coach James’ interview

The Lions’ coach, James Joseph, was interviewed by good folk at Lee Valley Park for their Twitter feed.  Here’s what he had to say on the team’s new improved Lee Valley Ice Centre home:

Fixtures for 2023-24 season confirmed

The Lions can now confirm our fixtures for the upcoming 2023-24 NIHL South Division 2 season.

We will open the season with the first game at the brand new Lee Valley Ice Centre on Sunday 10th September as we welcome Chelmsford to our new home rink.

We then travel to Cardiff the following Saturday (16th September) for our first away fixture of the new campaign.

Full fixtures can be seen in the below graphic, faceoff times and ticketing details to follow.

Open sessions and try-outs for 2023-24 season

Now that the new Lee Valley Ice Centre is open, attention can turn to try-outs ahead of the upcoming season.

We will be holding open sessions and try-outs every Tuesday, from Tuesday 27th June until Tuesday 25th July, between 8:15pm and 9:15pm.

It will be £10 cash on arrival to attend, and attendees will also be required to complete a waiver form.

Last league game of the season scheduled for Saturday in Cambridge

Our last league game of the season will take place against the Basingstoke Buffalo at Cambridge Ice Arena this Saturday 18th March, faceoff 6:15pm.

Tickets are available to purchase exclusively online – none will be on sale at the rink.  You can buy them via Eventbrite.

Due to the delays with the opening of the new Lee Valley Ice Centre, our home games against Bristol, Chelmsford, Streatham and Swindon will not go ahead, as the NIHL South 2 regular season ends this weekend.
