With the news that the new Lee Valley Ice Centre is now scheduled to open in January 2023, our following home games will now be postponed until the new year:

Lions vs Chelmsford (originally scheduled for November 13th) – TBC
Lions vs Bristol (originally scheduled for November 27th) – now 29th January 2023
Lions vs Swindon (originally scheduled for December 11th) – TBC
Lions vs Haringey (originally scheduled for December 18th) – TBC

New dates for the TBC games will be announced in due course.

The Lions’ next home match against Swindon is on Sunday 20th February, and you can buy your tickets online.  Tickets won’t actually be sold at the venue, so make sure you’ve got them through EventBrite before you arrive.

To celebrate the start of the weekend, how about another signing?

We welcome forward Omar Rehak, who joins the Lions after 3 seasons with University of London Dragons Ice Hockey Club in the British Universities Ice Hockey Association – where he played alongside fellow Lions forward Raphaël Girard.

Prior to his time at the University of London, Omar played for The Streatham Youth Ice Hockey Club up to and including U18 level, and was an alternate captain for Streatham U18s in his final season of junior hockey.

Welcome to British-trained Ukrainian forward Yuriy Shulzhenko, who joins the Lions from the Imperial Devils of the British Universities Ice Hockey Association!

Yuriy played junior hockey in Bracknell at U16 and U18 level, before spending the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons in university hockey for Imperial.

Now he joins the Lions for his first foray into NIHL league hockey.
