Belated Peterborough Report and Upcoming Fixtures

Apologies for the late post. I had trouble logging in to the admin section of the site.

Saturday the 15th of December saw the very short benched (nine skaters and two goalies) Lions side travel to league leaders Peterborough. Despite a valiant effort from the East London side, fatigue kicked in and the Islanders were able to pull away in the 3rd period, running out 10-4 winners.

Adam Peach collected the man of the match award after scoring two goals.

Final score 10-4 Lee Valley Lions.
Period scores 3-2/4-2/3-0.

Next weekend, we travel to high flying Peterborough Islanders.

Lions Trampled by Mustangs in Gillingham.

A hat-trick from Scott Beeson, and a strong 1st period were not enough to stop Invicta running riot in the 2nd. Coming away with a 14-4 win at SilverBlades ice rink.

Period scores were 3-3/9-1/2-0

Man of the Match was Scott Beeson

Next week we travel to a strong Basingstoke Buffalo side. Hoping to stop the current run of results.

Warriors Win the Battle at the Den. Leave London 9-3 Winners.

This Sunday the Lions travel to Gillingham to take on the Invicta Mustangs, hoping to avenge the heavy defeat inflicted on them 5 weeks ago. Face off at 5:15pm

Lions Fall to Heavy Defeat in Slough. Remain Winless.

Lee Valley’s early season woes continued as they lost 15-4 at Slough NIHL Jets.

A brace from Scott Beeson, one from Richard Hodge and a first senior goal for Jordan Jones were not enough as a strong Jets side ran rampant late in the second period, cruising to a big win and leaving the Lions nursing a 7th straight defeat this season.

Period scores were 4-1/5-2/6-1

Man of the Match was Joe Berry.
