Frain retained

After a season in National League and half a season in NIHL1, goalie Ethan Frain joined the team half way through last season, and quickly established himself as a dominant presence between the pipes.

Welcome back to our #33 and we look forward to seeing a full season from you!

Coach Jonesy’s comments: “Ethan joined us mid-way through last season and made an instant impact, bringing an air of confidence into the changing room.

Ethan is another player that has experience at a high level and that comes with high expectations of what we can achieve together.

Ethan is very analytical in how he thinks about the game and that offers us a valuable insight into planning and reviewing our approaches.

Ethan is our number 1 goalie this season and we are fortunate to have one of the best goalies in the league in our crease.”

Felician is Green and Blue again

After stepping down from NIHL 1 for the 23/24 season, our #15 Zion Felician quickly became a trusted presence in defence.

We’re just as excited as you are to see what he does this season.

Coach Jonesy’s comments: “Zion is an exciting talent and I am pleased he will be in a Lions jersey again this season.

He has excellent poise on the puck and is willing to get stuck in and do the hard work at both ends.

Zion will continue to be a key part of our group this season and will definitely be taking on a larger role, particularly on the powerplay unit.

Zion has the potential to be a standout for us this season and across the league.”

Brazier re-signs for 2024/25

Solid blue line presence Sam Brazier returns for the 24/25 season.

It will be his 4th consecutive season with the Lions – welcome back Sam!

Coach Jonesy’s comments: “I’m really pleased to have Sam back for this season.

Since joining the team Sam has grown into a larger role at the top of the line up.

He is effective at both ends of the ice and still has room to grow, which I am sure he will this season.

Sam is very coachable and is always adding elements to his game.

I am confident he will take another step forward this season and contribute to success in all situations.”

New Lion Alert – Seb Downing

British forward Seb Downing joins the Lions, adding a wealth of knowledge and talent from both NIHL 2, as well as NIHL 1 and Canada.

We can’t wait to see him in action away to Haringey on September 14th – see you there!

Coach Jonesy’s comments: “Seb is a huge addition for us as a team.

He is a very strong player in terms of talent and another player that has played at a higher level.

Seb is capable of making an impact at both ends of the ice and having someone of his ability in the dressing room gives us a huge range of options.

Seb is happy to talk hockey with anyone and his hockey IQ will be invaluable for our younger guys on the team.

I’m looking forward to working with Seb and seeing him at work in a Lions jersey.”

Seb will wear the #69 jersey for the Lions.
