Many of you will have already heard this news, but popular linesman, Dave Tottman, recently passed away. He was on the ice for many of the Lions’ games and was a friendly chap who seemed to get on with everyone. His contribution to the game will be sorely missed and sincere condolences go out to his family and friends. A Facebook group has been set up in his memory.

Beeson is back
I have received the good news tonight that former high-scoring Lee Valley player, Scott Beeson, has returned to the Lions following a stint with Invicta Dynamos. Also re-signing for another season is Richard Hodge. A statement from the coaches will be posted in the next few days.
Welcome back, Calum
Lee Valley Lions are pleased to announce the return of Calum Heath for the 2011/2012 season.
Coach Blair Dubyk is happy to have Calum back on the squad. He said of last year’s Players’ Player of the Year recipient, “I know Calum was skating with some teams in the league above since the end of last season and I thought for sure we would lose him.”
The hard-working forward told the club at the beginning of July that he wanted to come back to Lee Valley for another year to define his skills. “It was a good way to start off training camp,” Dubyk stated after hearing of Calum’s plans.
Welcome back, Calum!
Signings so far…
I’m pleased to announce that several of our players from last year have re-signed to the Lions for 2011/12. They are Adam Peach, Ruth Cattell, James Gosling, Calum Heath, Phil Carson, James Scott-Joseph and Captain/Coach Blair Dubyk. Joining us is former Lee Valley junior, Jack Ball, and transferring from Invicta is netminder Steve Grout.
More names will be announced soon!
Congratulations to Blair and Ruth
Blair Dubyk and his wife, Ruth, have become proud parents of a little boy. Seth David Dubyk was born today, weighing 7lb 6oz – congratulations to you both on behalf of everyone at Lee Valley.
