Additional Comments: Lions were an import down for this match after Jarmo Jamalainen decided mid-week to “up sticks” and leave after only a month in the UK. Dave Ducharme was to be the new signing, making his debut the following week. Chris Leggatt also returned to the Den on top form after having departed the previous March. Lions netminder Jamie Elliott was on paternity leave of sorts as girlfriend Julie Cook (daughter of Supporters’ Club Mike) was due to give birth any day. We loaned Glen Price from Romford in the meantime (although we all know Glen was originally a regular Clock End Lions fan). Joint referees were Powell and Dawson. |
