Additional Comments:

Blackburn were having a turbulent season, being on their 6th coach and 7th import! Only two of the squad from this night had been present for all their games and only six were present when they last met the Lions in November!

Lee Valley scored one Power Play and one Short-Handed goal. Geoff Job was really on a roll during this match, scoring a magnificent 7+1. His goal at 39:14 was made all the more remarkable by the way he was being hooked continuously! Only 40 seconds later and he scored again, due to a big cock-up by netminder John Dunford. He finished off the Lions’ scoring at 51:17 (his 5th goal in a row!) with a Power Play goal which was totally awesome!

Blackburn had changed their netminder at 40:00, from Trevor Foster to John Dunford. A penalty shot was awarded to the Blackhawks at 59:06 – Mark Johnson took the shot but no goal resulted from this.

Referee was Cloutman, Linesmen were Dadswell and Ford.
