Additional Comments: Another frustrating loss at the hands of our local rivals! The game was at least close throughout. Both teams had a goal disallowed. For the Lions this was at 46:29 when the goal was off its moorings. For Romford their no-goal came at 54:45 as the whistle had been blown due to Chris Leggatt being injured. I’d written “injured” in quote marks in the programme, so I think he may have been putting it on somewhat! Lee Valley’s 5th goal, at 48:58, was a Power Play scored by Derek Higdon. Although assisted by both Geoff Job and Adam Goldstone, Adam’s contribution to the goal was falling over at an appropriate time! Romford scored two Power Play goals and one Short-Handed goal. Referee was Moore, Linesmen were Plaistow and Ward. |
