Additional Comments:

After a disastrous season it was good to see the Lions end with a win.

Lions had a goal disallowed at 53:18. Campbell Blair had flicked the puck over the heads of other players, Barry Stefureak slapped the puck down with his hand and shot it past Peter Russell. The goal light came on but after a great deal of “discussion” with the Referee by Medway, the goal was taken off of the scoreboard.

Referee was Cloutman, Linesmen were Long and Bassett.

Although not playing in this game, Barry Smith was awarded the Supporters’ Club Trophy.

Eddie Joseph had decided to retire from hockey, with this game being his last. He had been with the Lions continuously since 1984. At the end was a ceremony in which Eddie’s shirt (#2) was officially retired and the last time I looked it was framed on the wall of the Lee Valley bar.
