Additional Comments:

No powerplay or shorthanded goals in this match, but sterling performances from Fred and Darcy. Paul Grech and Rob McCaig also had a good game, scoring 1+3 and 2+0 respectively.

Streatham found themselves with a diminishing team. Peter Collins disappeared from the game as soon as the National Anthem had been played! Jamie Burt played only the first period and Shawn Lavoy played only the first two periods.

Although Streatham’s second goal was credited to David Smith it was in fact an own-goal scored by Lions’ Rob McCaig!!!

Referee was Moore and the only Linesman was Feehan.

John Kerr, Bruce Murray and Keith Stevens, all players of the other London Lions team, Millwall FC, attended the game and came onto the ice at the end to assist with MOTM.

Louise Cartwright from the Big City TV programme was there to film the Lions and Ray Kidd from the Sunday Express also attended as the newspaper was a sponsor of the team.
