Where are they now? Barry Smith in Sweden.
Fans of the original Lions might be interested to know that import Barry Smith went on to an impressive coaching career and he is currently based at Swedish side, Modo. Mikael Uhlin, who runs a site about the former London Lions, has kindly sent me an article about Barry that featured in a Swedish magazine, together with an English translation. Lions achieve first win of the season
After last week’s draw against Cardiff Devils the Lions have gone one better and beaten Wightlink Tigers 5-4 to gain their first win of the season. Further details to follow…
Remembering Martin Berry…
I’ve been informed that a minute’s silence will be held at this weekend’s game against Chelmsford, in memory of Martin Berry, Joe’s father. Martin provided a lot of help and support to the club over the years and he sadly passed away earlier this year.
