A massive re-signing

A massive (hehe) welcome back to 6’9″ defender Dan Tamasauskas. Dan’s season was derailed by injury last year, so we can’t wait to see what the giant does now he’s back to fitness.

Lions’ coach Simon Jones said, “Daniel was held back by injuries last season and is lining up to have a big bounce back campaign. He has been working hard away from the ice and remains committed to his own development as well as the team pushing forwards. He has all the tools to dominate in his position in all situations and will continue to sharpen those tools this year.”

Witter returns

Carlton Witter returns for his second season in green and blue. Having joined the squad last season, he cemented his place in the team with his versatility of play and work ethic. We’re thrilled to have him back.

Coach comments: “Carlton really impressed me last season with his work ethic and versatility. He is calm and collected and has solid fundamentals. I’m expecting a big season this year from Carlton at both ends of the ice and look forward to him having a great impact on our season.”

Welcome to the Den, Ollie Davies

Former England and Haringey junior Ollie Davies signs joins the Lions for the 2025/26 season.
The 18-year-old impressed during trials and we can’t wait to see what he does in his first full senior year.
“Ollie stood out during the trials this year and I am very pleased to have him on board. He is stepping up from juniors, but is already very calm and confident on the puck and his work rate is excellent. He is a very intelligent player and I’m sure he will be an asset for the team” – Simon Jones.

Gonzalez gonna be back

Colombian international Nicholas Gonzales signs for his second year with the Lions. Last year was Nick’s first full year of senior hockey and he constantly demonstrated a drive to improve throughout the season.

Nick impressed more than just us, because at the end of last season he was selected for team Colombia and has improved massively during his time with them. The Lions’ coach had this to say: “Nick is one of the hardest working players I have ever worked with. He constantly pushes himself and is always exhausted at the end of a training session. Nick is very coachable and I think that with the work he has put in over the summer he has positioned himself to have a very good season.”

Goalie tandem complete

We are thrilled to announce the signing of 23-year-old Lewis Carter from the NIHL1 Invicta Dynamos. Lewis has spent his whole career with Invicta, coming up through their junior system and now jumps ship to the Lions.

Coach Simon Jones had this to say about the latest signing: “Lewis worked hard during the trials this summer and made an impression with his attitude and ability. He is extremely positive and passionate about the game. I’m sure he will work well in tandem with Ethan and develop his game as we move through the season.”
