Last night we hosted our awards presentation at the Hare & Hounds in Leyton. The awards handed out for the season were as follows:
Coach’s Player of the Year: James Gosling
Joint Players’ Player of the Year: Richard Hodge & Adam Peach
Leading goal scorer: Blair Dubyk
Leading assists: Scott Beeson
Leading goalie: Steve Grout
Thanks to Beverly Irish, Eddie Joseph, all involved in running the team and to you, the supporters for sticking with us this year.

Our Presentation Evening will now be on Friday the 15th of June and, will be hosted at the Hare & Hounds pub on Lea Bridge Road E10 7LD (right next to Leyton Football Club and directly opposite B&Q).
The event will start at 8pm and is open to all family, friends and supporters of the team.
For those driving, the pub has a car park. Buses 48, 55, 56, N38 and N55 all stop there and the nearest train stations are Leyton and Walthamstow Central.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
Our open training sessions will be starting again on Tuesday 12 June and will be running each Tuesday from 8.15 – 9.30pm. Please note there is a charge of £10 per session. Sessions were originally starting on 5 June but that day is a Bank Holiday, so please note this change.
While all are welcome to the open training sessions, we will be selecting players for the 2012/13 season each Tuesday in July and from August onwards the sessions will be for team members only.
After some two months involving several hours of work most days, the new Lee Valley Lions site is unveiled. The database-driven site has fully-integrated features and all the forum topics/posts have been imported successfully. If you had a forum user name and password for the previous site, you should find that your login details still work.
I will be looking for a volunteer or two to become a site author, meaning they’ll be able to add news items to the home page, add/change details of games/scores, moderate forum posts etc. If you are interested in doing this, please contact me.
Our presentation evening has had to be postponed because the Princess of Wales pub is currently undergoing refurbishment which may not be finished until around 25 May. As the pub is one of the team’s sponsors we don’t feel it right to switch to another pub, so once a new date for the presentation evening has been arranged I’ll post the details here.
